Tour stops will include:

Acosta: Victor Acosta and his family have come to own and manage over 1,000 acres of fruit trees, field-grown palms, container palms, and foliage plants in the South Florida region. The initial focus of the container farm was tropical and cold hardy palms and cycads. But in the past few decades, the company has risen to new heights by introducing the perfect production of certain plant subcategories such as Ferns, Cordylines, Yuccas, Bananas and various types of foliage.

Capri Farms: Capri Farms is a 15-acre tropical foliage nursery with a “hands on” brokerage service to facilitate the needs of their interiorscape and independent garden center customers. It is a family business, started in 1990, in the Redland district of Homestead, FL by Hector Chin and wife, Daisy. Today the company is managed by their two sons, Lincoln and Hector Jr. (Bob), with the assistance of Dionne Hew and a dedicated crew of office and greenhouse personnel.

R-Plants: R Plants Nursery was established in 1997 in Homestead, Florida. The nursery started out with 2.5 acres, a small propagation house, a truck, and a lot of determination to broker plants. Throughout the years, the nursery has expanded, and now operates on 100-plus acres over seven different locations. The nursery grows varieties of tropical shrubs, natives, palms, and grasses.

Plants In Design: Plants In Design is a premier wholesale grower of pre-finished and in-bloom Bromeliads, serving discerning resorts, florists, resellers, and interiorscape designers from a growing 35-acre nursery. It has been in business for over 40 years and has state-of-the-art greenhouses, computerized irrigation, and robotics.
